MUSIC / Lyrics - Song of the Week 2

I Love It All
Get up it's late and you can't stay in bed all day
You've got to come out to play sometime
Your head is aching and you need your coffee high
Before you can open your eyes this time
Ch
But I love it all, you've got a certain style
Yes I love it all, I love it when you smile
Wake up it's time to wash and shave ands fix your tie
Don't look at me with that why on your face
Your socks don't match and you can't even find a pair
And there's never a hair in place
Ch
Bridge
When you smile
(You're not alone I can help you)
Smile
(You're not alone I can help you)
When you smile
I know you don't find it easy being you
We'll have to muddle through the night
You feel like you're such a tortured soul
But you make my whole world bright
Ch
When you smile at me.

Fall Apart
Hold on you don't, don't let it show
You smile so no, no one can know
When you close the door you fall apart
You're tired, broken down, you've not been yourself
Your quiet retreat's not good for your health
When you finally speak you fall apart
You fall apart
Ch
I know it's not been easy on you
And I really do feel for you
I can't help if you won't let me see
You say you're fine, I see through the lies
Your smile doesn't reach, reach to your eyes
When you finally breath you fall apart
You fall apart
Ch
Hold on one day you're going to implode
You carry around this heavy load
When you set it down you'll fall apart
You'll fall apart
You need to fall apart
You fall apart.

But I Want To
Make me, go on try
Make me look you in the eye
I don't have to do anything you say
But I want to
Make if you can
I don't think you understand me
I don't have to do anything you say
But I want to
Chorus
All my life I've been waiting for you
All my life looked for somebody who
Likes me but won't put up with things I do
And you stand up to me
You get in my face
So close that I can taste you
I don't have to do anything you say
But I want to
When you slam the door
I want you even more
I don't have to do anything you say
But I want to
Chorus
Hey yeh yeh
You stand up to me
Hey yeh yeh
You stand up to me
Chorus
Make me if you can
'Cause I want you to be my man
I don't have to do anything you say
But I want to
Make me, go ahead
And I'll send you straight to bed
You don't have to do anything I say
But you want to
I don't have to do anything you say
But I want to
I don't have to do anything you want
But I love to.

This Time
Falling faster than waterfalls and you're falling down the drain
I can see you go round in circles and here you come again
Ch
Time to take a break now before you make out you're fine
Got to take a time out
Let it all out this
Time means nothing when you keep running
There's only you in the race
If you slow down or maybe turn around
It won't show on your face
Ch
Time to take a break now before you make out you're fine
Got to take a time out
Let it all out this time
Ch
Time to take a break now before you make out you're fine
Got to take a time out
Let it all out this
Time to be who you need to be
And you're needed at home
What's the cost and what is lost when you're
Holed away on your own
Time to go home
Time to go home.

If Only
Crowded room
Let's go soon
Sometime in June
Out of the city
Need some space
So pack your case
Go to a place that looks really pretty
Ch
If only for a day or two
if only for a while
Working hard
Hit the bar
Exhaust from the car is making me cough
A holiday
What do you say
Find a day we can take off
Ch
If only for a day or two
if only for a while
If only we could get away
If only for a while
Greens and blues
Too hot for shoes
Nothing to lose
I'm already gone
So much sky
The day floats by
I close my eyes and dream what I want
Ch
If only for a day or two
if only for a while
If only we could get away
If only for a while
Crowded room
Let's go soon
Sometime in June
Out of the city
Need some space
So pack your case
Leave this place
Just for a while

Bandaid
I am a bandaid, I stick anywhere that you need
I'm a bandaid, I stop it when you bleed
I'm a vitamin, I'll make you feel so strong
I'm a vitamin, you know that we belong
Ch
I'll take care of you, I'll take care of you
I'm a tylenol, I'll take away your pain
I'm an aspirin, you'll never hurt again
I'm a Nytol when you can't get to slepp
I'm a Nytol, you're sinking really deep
Ch
I'm a Vicodin, you can never get enough
I'm a Vicodin, you can't give me up
I'm a aderol, I'm where you want to be
I'm an aderol, you depend on me
Ch
I'm a bandaid, I'll cover up your fall
I'm a bandaid, I'll take care of it all
I'll take care of it all
I'll take care of it all

'Til We Get Old
I know you'll try
But there's no guarantee
You can't deny
What will be will be
But if I have a say
We'll be always
Ch
Stay with me
It's okay with me
If you stay with me 'til we get old
My heart's not ready for you to leave
My hand is steady
I have to believe
But if you go today
I'd have to say
Ch
'Til we're old and grey
Take it day by day by day
You're here for now
And that's all we know
While time allows us
Time for them to grow
But one of us one day
Will have to say
Stay with me x3
Please don't go
Ch

Hello
Sunny day, look at the blue sky
Funny how you're always passing by
When I'm walking down your street
Looking like you happen to be there
Looking up and looking so unaware that we
Happen to
Ch
Hello on Monday
Hello on Tuesday
Hello, here we go again
Hello on Wednesday
Hello on Thursday
Friday, here we go again
Funny days I'm watching the time pass
Walking by and hoping you'll ask me
More than how am I doing, what's the time
Looking up in anticipation
But I kind of like the sensation
Knowing you'll be standing in the line
Ch
Rainy day, but i can't see you
Skies are grey where have you gone to
Days like these just don't feel the same
Here you come around the corner
Holding flowers, who are they for
I see you smile and you call out my name
Ch
Sunny days look at the blue sky
Funny how saturday seems to smile
When you come walking down my street

Crossroads
I'm Sitting at a crossroads I can't decide
I should be going one way
I really tried
So many new directions all go one way
I want the way I came from
To yesterday
Ch
Got to move ahead
I can always stay in bed
Got to pick a side but
I'm sitting at a crossroads
I can;t move
An every road I take now
Is far from you
So many new solutions everyday
But none of them will take me to yesterday
Ch
Got to move along
I don't really fell too strong
Got to pick a way
I'm sitting at a crossroads
Need a beer
Finding a new normal
Without you here
So many things to do now
I do your way
I wish had done them yesterday
So stay
In yesterday
I'm sitting at a crossroads
I should be going one way
So many new directions
I want the way I came from
From yesterday

La De Dah
The sea, the sky
We love the reasons why we're sitting here
Every single day
We laugh, we sigh
We watch the world go by
It's sunny here Every single day
Ch
La de dah, la de dah
Here we go
La de dah, la de dah
Here we go
We sing, we drive
We feel like we're alive and living here
Every single day
We look behind
And now I know that I'm a lucky girl
Every single day
Ch
The seas, the sky
We love the reasons why we're sitting here
Every single day
We laugh, we cry
And now we say goodbye
We're missing here
Every single day
Ch

This Silence
You're like an army
Right there beside me
You're like a regiment who won't give up the fight
You make it better
You make me stronger
You make me see that I don't have to get it right
Ch
You don't leave me to cry on my own
You don't leave me in pain
You don't leave me alone in this silence
If I close down
If I fall apart
If I can't tell you, you know you still have my heart
When it gets harder
And when I close the door
You'll be right outside like you've always been before
Ch
Ch
You're like an army Right here beside me
You're my own regiment who won't give up the fight

It's Me
I'm standing by the door
If I fell on the floor
Would you notice me or step and walk on by
I haven't got a clue
How to get to you
And I wonder why
Ch
It's me, it's me all the way
It's me, it's me all the way to you
I look you up online and I pretend you're mine
I add you to my friends then wait and see
I'd call you everyday
But you got call display and you'd know it's me
Ch
It's me, it's me all the way
It's me, it's me all the way to
the end of the line
Give me a sign
Tell me I have a chance with you
I'm standing by the door
How can you ignore me
How can you not see and walk on by
I really need a clue
How to get to you
And I wonder why
Ch
It's me, it's me all the way
It's me, it's me all the way
It's me, it's me all the way
It's me, it's me all the way to you
To you, to you
All the way to you

Almost
She got married on a Tuesday in a dress she'd worn before
With some borrowed friends beside her
People she'd never met before
Ch
But she's almost half way there
She almost smiles
She's almost waiting for this life
When she got married on that Tuesday
To a man she barely knew
She didn't know his favourite colour
But she said the words I do.
Ch
Ch
They got married on a Tuesday
Wednesday night they just went home
By the time it was the weekend
She knew she'd never be a lone

People Places
I love New York in the spring and the fall
But when winter comes along I gotta get out of there
LA is fine and I love it for the sunshine
But there comes a time when I need some air
Ch
People Places
Reading their faces
Where happiness and loneliness get mixed together
London and Rome are great cities I have known
But neither is home 'cause I need to breathe
Paris Milan oh they do the best they can
But they don't understand why I need to leave
Ch
I don't know
How's the weather and where's the snow
All together it's time to go
I know I've found my place in this small town
And when my feet touch down that's when I know I'm home
Ch
People Places
Reading their faces
Where happiness and kindness just fit together
I love new York
I love LA
But this little place always brings me home

On and On
It's another day
It's another hour
It's another thing to say
Waiting for the fall
Looking for the calm
Waiting for it all to go away
Ch
It goes on and on and on
Even when you're gone
Who will I become without you
Maybe if I wait
If I just carry on
Maybe it was not too late
I have to see ahead
I can't look behind
What was it that you said
I need a sign that you
Ch
It goes on and on and on
Even when you're gone
Where will I become without you
Look I'm moving on
Look where I've come from
Looking doesn't mean I can't remember
I have to look ahead
I have to leave you behind
Remember what we said
(Life goes on and on and on)
It's just another day
Just another hour
On and on and on

Ready Or Not
Ready or not, here I come
I don't think you're gonna catch me
ready or not, here I come
I'm gonna win the race
Ready or not, here I come
I don't think you're gonna catch me
ready or not, here I come
I'm gonna take first place
1234 I'm at your door
5678 don't be late
Ready or not, here I come
I don't think you're gonna catch me
ready or not, here I come
I'm gonna win the race
Ready or not, here I come
I don't think you're gonna catch me
ready or not, here I come
I'm gonna take first place
1234 I'm at your door
5678
1234 I can keep score
5678, don't be late
Ready or not, here I come
I don't think you're gonna catch me
Ready or not, here I come
I don't think you're gonna catch me
Ready or not, here I come
I don't think you're gonna catch me
ready or not, here I come
I'm gonna win the race
Ready or not, here I come
I don't think you're gonna catch me
ready or not, here I come
I'm gonna take first place

These Little Things
We talk about the day
You ask if I'm okay
You really mean it so I smile
You offer me a seat
You make a bite to eat
'Cause I've been busy for a while
Ch
Just these little things you do for me
Just these little things you do
Make me see that I belong with you
When I go out again
I don't hear you complain
You tell me when I leave to phone
When, when I can't think
When I've had to much drink
You pick me up and take me home
Ch
We talk about the day
You ask if I'm okay
You really mean it so I smile
